That's why the FDIC has created a public service campaign featuring Personal Finance Expert Suze Orman, who urges the banking public to use EDIE the Estimator to make sure their money is 100% FDIC insured. The "Mattress" TV and print ads deliver the same message in a light-hearted way.

Suze gives sound advice to a woman who has taken all of her money out of the bank and put it in a shoebox. "That's not a safe thing to do."
